OxClean in the Park, March 2010

The Friends joined in the OxClean initiative, along with the Summertown Stars football club, and helped to clear rubbish around the park on 6th March.

A Wind Turbine for Cutteslowe Park?

Open Evening for the Friends

We will be having an Open Evening at the Cutteslowe Park Pavilion, from 7pm on Wednesday 8th April. Everyone is welcome to come over and find out what we are about, and to hear about engagement with the Summertown Stars AFC and other developments.


FoCSP contribution to OxClean

Members of the Friends and other local residents, made our own contribution to the big city-wide 'OxClean' litter clearance during the weekend of 15th-16th March, despite the inclement weather.

Help to Plant a Community Woodland

Open Evening and AGM, April 2008

The Friends of Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park are having an open evening at the Cutteslowe Pavilion in early April, to be followed by an AGM as this will be around the first anniversary of the foundation of the Friends.

The Park wins a Green Flag Award!

Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park was recently awarded a Green Flag Award by the Civic Trust - as such it is one of only two Green Flag Standard parks in Oxfordshire.

The Green Flag Award is the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales. The award scheme began in 1996 as a means of recognising and rewarding the best green spaces in the country.

Open Day, Sunday 4th November
- 23 October 07

There will be an Open Afternoon for the Park, on Sunday 4th November, run by the Friends.

A gazebo will be set up at the park Pavilion (a map will be posted up presently), and will be the start point for a series of brief tours around the park.

You can also get involved in bulb planting, to make your own impression on the park! Equipment will be provided, and tea and refreshments will be available from 3:15pm back at base.

All are welcome to come and get involved - hoping for good weather!


Park Close Tour

The management committee went on a tour of the park on 30th May, which was very helpful for our deliberations.
